Goldener Kochlöffel
What makes the Goldenen Kochlöffel so special?
The Goldener Kochlöffel is the Laufgelage’s culinary contest, which selects the best dishes submitted from Erlangen each semester.
While the Laufgelage itself brings people together to eat, run, and celebrate, the Golden Cooking Spoon provides a space for creativity, a passion for cooking, and extraordinary culinary ideas.
Anyone can participate: If you prepare a dish at the Laufgelage and are confident in your creation, you can submit it for the Golden Cooking Spoon. To do so, simply post a photo of the dish on our Instagram channel. You’ll find the terms and conditions below.
There’s still time to submit entries even after the Laufgelage itself has ended. The submission window usually remains open for a few more days, so even the very last creations can make their way into the competition.
Afterward, all submitted dishes will be published as Stories on our Instagram channel and categorized into appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Then it’s up to the community: All followers can vote for their favorites and thus help decide which dishes end up at the top of the list.
At the end of each round, the best appetizer, main course, and dessert will be selected. The winners will not only receive the Golden Cooking Spoon award, but also a generously stocked goodie bag filled with gift certificates, useful items, and other surprises.
All the goodies you’ll find in our bag come from restaurants, small businesses, and our sponsors in and around Erlangen. We’re very grateful for their ongoing support!
The Goldener Kochlöffel has thus become an integral part of the Laufgelage - and the perfect opportunity to showcase what Erlangen’s kitchens have to offer.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION
Here’s how to participate!
The following steps are required for successful participation:
- Cook your dish—whether it’s an appetizer, main course, or dessert.
- Take a photo of your creation. The photo must also show a small piece of paper with the current semester and “Laufgelage” written on it.
- Submit your photo via our Instagram channel.
- In your submission, tell us what you cooked, whether it’s an appetizer, main course, or dessert, and include your team name.
After the submission deadline, we’ll post all participating dishes as a Story on our Instagram channel. The community will vote to decide which appetizers, main courses, and desserts win.
The submission deadline usually runs for a few days after the food festival so that even the last few dishes can make their way into the competition.
In the end, the best appetizer, main course, and dessert will each be chosen. The winners will receive a generously filled goodie bag with gift cards, useful items, and other surprises.
And of course, we want to meet our winners in person: We’ll bring your prize to you, take a photo of you and your cooking partner, and then post the winning photo on our Instagram channel.

Nach Ende der Einreichungsfrist veröffentlichen wir alle teilnehmenden Speisen auf unserem Instagram-Kanal als Story. Die Community stimmt ab und entscheidet, welche Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisen gewinnen.
Die Einreichungsfrist läuft in der Regel noch einige Tage nach dem Laufgelage, damit auch die letzten Teller ihren Weg in den Wettbewerb finden.
Am Ende wird jeweils die beste Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise gekürt. Die Gewinnerinnen und Gewinner erhalten ein reichlich gefülltes Goodie-Bag mit Gutscheinen, nützlichen Gegenständen und weiteren Überraschungen.
Und natürlich wollen wir unsere Gewinner auch persönlich kennenlernen: Wir bringen dir deinen Gewinn vorbei, machen gemeinsam ein Foto von dir und deinem Kochpartner oder deiner Kochpartnerin und veröffentlichen das Gewinnerfoto anschließend auf unserem Instagram-Kanal.
